My Story

My name is Paulette Gehrke, and I began my trucking career in 1993. I have proudly held a Class A CDL for more than 33 years and have spent over 30 years training and mentoring future commercial drivers.

Throughout my career, I have worked in nearly every area of CDL instruction, including classroom instruction, range training, behind-the-wheel driving instruction, skid pad training, CDL permit preparation, and third-party CDL examining. These experiences have allowed me to work with students at every skill level and from many different backgrounds.

One thing that has always set me apart as an instructor is my learner-focused approach. I truly believe that everyone learns differently, and my goal has always been to explain CDL concepts in a way that is clear, practical, and easy to understand. I don’t believe in simply memorizing answers to pass a test — I believe in helping everyone genuinely understand the material so they can build confidence and succeed long-term.

Over the years, I have helped countless students prepare for CDL permit exams, skills training, and careers in the trucking industry. Whether I’m working with first-time CDL drivers, career changers, or anyone who may have struggled with the permit process before, I strive to create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions.

My passion has always been helping people succeed the right way — through patience, real-world experience, and instruction that finally makes sense to the learner.
